Christmas Market In July

christmas market

Do you know the feeling of being such a Christmas person that talking about it all around the year is just normal for you? I have found myself doing that with my friends a couple of times.. or more. When I heard there is going to be a Christmas market in Sydney, of course, I wanted to go see how it is!

Christmas Market Vibes

It doesn’t matter if it isn’t Christmas time yet, does it? I got excited about the idea. Mostly because I have such warm memories of visiting some of the Christmas markets in the Netherlands with my friends. So, I went to see the Rocks Christmas in July market. It’s one part of the Bastille festival which is held to celebrate French culture in Sydney. Check more details about Bastille Festival.

At the market, there was a good variety of food & mulled wine stands but also possibilities to buy items like jewelry, paintings etc. Decorations and lights made the area look like a Christmas market. But it was nice to hear singers singing Christmas songs as well. We ended up buying brie cheese and also some warm Praline macadamias, which were delicious! Definitely worth of trying.

Christmas Belongs To December

In December I love seeing decorations and listening to Christmas songs, those make the Christmas vibe so strong but most of all Christmas is about spending time with family and friends, relaxing together while enjoying good food and chocolate.

Participating Christmas market in July made me realize that for me it matters what time of the year I visit this kind of events. I had a great evening at the Bastille festival; experiencing a heap of French culture in Sydney and going to the market. But I think it’s nicer to feed your Christmas spirit when it’s actually closer to that time of the year 🙂

Have a great week! 🙂

xx
